Job Description
Join the Sanctuary Hotel team as a PM Lobby Attendant and be the welcoming face for our guests during the evening hours. In this role, you will ensure a pleasant and safe environment in the hotel lobby by providing exceptional customer service and support to guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of lobby floors using appropriate floor care techniques, including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Handle cleaning tasks with proper use of cleaning equipment and chemical agents, adhering strictly to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols.
- Conduct manual handling of cleaning supplies and heavy lifting of equipment or furniture when necessary, ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly disinfecting high-touch surfaces such as door handles, counters, and seating areas in compliance with hotel housekeeping management practices.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or inquiries with friendly customer service, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and professionally.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently, including safety protocols related to hazardous materials or incidents requiring immediate attention.
- Document maintenance or cleaning issues accurately and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
- Greet and assist guests warmly as they enter and exit the hotel lobby during evening shifts.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the lobby area.
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve minor issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Assist with managing lobby security by observing and reporting suspicious behavior.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to support guest requests and operational needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in floor cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within hospitality or hotel environments.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the proper handling of chemical agents used in floor care and general cleaning.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and other custodial tools effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that enhances guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and hotel emergency procedures ensures safe and efficient operations.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and bending during cleaning routines.
- Understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) for chemicals used in cleaning processes to ensure safe handling and storage.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work evening shifts.
